Please tell us about yourself:

I am a 16-year-old entrepreneur in the haircare products space. I am Grade10 learner at a high school in Pretoria East. My favourite school subject is Accounting. I came about the idea of formulating my own product when I couldn’t find products that are good enough for my ethnic hair. I needed natural products with less chemicals.

What are Teenpreneur challenges?

They range from financing-teens cannot legally borrow money or even register a company under your name until a certain age. The self-doubt. Age stereotype barrier to an extent that the sustainability and credibility of your business is doubted.

What advise do you have for someone that has been through the same experience?

Be passionate about what you’re doing and make sure it’s something you believe in. Know what you want to achieve and how you want to do it.

What does women Empowerment mean to you?

To me it is about us women realizing that we are more than our gender and that every voice whether shaky or bold deserve to be heard. Freedom to be happy and to live a full life without fear.

What are some of your achievements?

I count starting a business at my age as one of my biggest milestones thus far.

What should we expect from you in 2021?

Growth and more growth. Am working on brand awareness and constantly improving my craft.

What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

Legacy of women who can fly with their own wings, women who can dream, act and challenge themselves.
