Please tell us about yourself
My name is Paxton Fielies, 21 years old. I am from Bishop Lavis Cape Town. I am very passionate about music, I come from a musically inclined family and started singing at church in the children’s choir. I’m an introvert but can be a social butterfly when surrounded by the right people. I’m an overthinker, and I love reading. I dislike close minded people, sweet melon and getting cold!
Please share with us an experience that almost destroyed you, an experience that almost cost you your life, however you decided to go out there and Fetch Your Life
I don’t think I have had an experience like that before which I thank God for. I had a very dark period in my life, went through depression and just couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel you know? God saved me, my faith kept me going and I experienced a breakthrough! This is going to sound weird but I’m grateful that I experienced that, because it definitely molded me into the person I am today. I’m still learning and growing, constantly working towards being/becoming the best version of myself in every aspect. I think that experience definitely tested my relationship with God, but it brought me so much closer to God and for that I am eternally grateful.
Do you think that had it not been for this experience you would have become the person you are?
Yes definitely, I believe that everything happens for a reason and that God has a plan for my life, I just need to trust in it wholeheartedly! It’s really tough to do so in the tough times, but I think it’s important to praise God and thank God even when things don’t go your way. Just trust in divine timing, and let go of the things that aren’t in your control!
What advise do you have for someone that has been through the same experience?
It will get better, keep praying.
What does women Empowerment mean to you?
