Please tell us about yourself.
My name is Goitsemodimo Innocentia Molefe, and I was born in North West, Motlhape and currently residing in Johannesburg, Randburg. I am a proud daughter of Kenneth Molefe and Emily Molefe and I have 3 siblings. I am a very family-oriented person and a law student.
Please share with us an experience that almost destroyed you, an experience that almost cost you your life, however you decided to go out there and Fetch Your Life
“Life after matric” I worked hard to ensure that I pass my matric, however I did not do enough to get through to university, said Goitsemodimo. I could feel myself falling into depression as I felt that my dreams were failing and that my future was doomed. I was able to survive this time due to the support of my family.
How has this experience impacted your life?
It had a positive impact in the end because I got to learn about patience and how to tackle challenges. I tackled this by making the decision to apply for upgrading my matric results and I excelled in that. After upgrading my results, I was able to get admission to university for law.
Do you think that had it not been for this experience you would have become the person you are?
I don’t believe I would be who I am today had it not been for this experience had it not been for the comfort and support from my parents, granny, and aunt. It was more of a wakeup call for me to realise that there are no short cuts in life. Since this encounter, I have been bolder and more resilient in achieving my goals.
What advise do you have for someone that has been through the same experience?
Don’t ever give up! Surround yourself with positive people and invite God. Also, remember that life is not a competition, run your own race, in your own lane. You’re not stupid just because your friends are in university and you not, you too will get there.
What does women Empowerment mean to you?
The first thing that comes to mind is being a boss lady. Supporting and promoting women daily not just on women’s day. It is encouraging one another to grow instead of feeling threatened by on another.
What are some of your achievements?
Being a Miss Teen South Africa finalist hast to be my biggest achievement.
What should we expect from you in 2021?
I see myself taking the Miss Teen South Africa title, I pray I bag a whole lot of sponsors, endorsement deals and votes by SMSing TSA808 to 47018
What inspired you to join pageantry?
It has always been a dream of mine. However, I was shy and quiet back then. I got a wakeup call after speaking to my cousin while watching Miss South Africa last year. This is my first pageant ever and a big one. I’m proud to say that out of 651 entries I am in the top50.
What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
I would love to be known as the next big lawyer, I would love to introduce more modelling agencies in the rural areas.
